O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree...

how thy needles are shedding everywhere!

Yes, we put up a real Christmas tree this year. Last year our artificial one looked so ratty after Christmas we just hauled it right to the curb. This year we went to the Christmas Tree Farm before Thanksgiving to look around. It was a beautiful day and such a fun experience.

Of course I had to take advantage of the cute props they had available for pictures!

The tree sat in the garage in some water until a week after Thanksgiving. Decorating the tree is such a fun time because the boys love it so much. I have always had white lights on the tree with coordinating burgundy and gold decorations, but Logan always complained that it was too boring. In years past I've allowed a conglomerate of decorations and this year, since we had to string the lights all over again, I relented and got the colored lights. I have to admit it looks very festive.

Here are Bryan and Logan after bringing the tree in.

The boys got their safety scissors and helped cut the netting off around the tree.

December will be over before we know it and then you can clean up :-) The tree looks pretty and fun. The memories are priceless.
